Andrea Wilkins began her career in 1998 providing legal assistance to domestic violence survivors and their children. In 2000 she joined the staff of the National Conference of State Legislatures assisting the 50 state legislatures to develop public policy in the areas of human services, welfare reform and state-tribal relations. In 2006 she began serving as Program Director and Counsel to the NCSL State-Tribal Institute where she focused on cross-jurisdictional policy development and various Indian law issues. She is the author and co-author of a number of publications addressing Indian law and human services issues, briefing papers and Congressional correspondence.

In 2008 she joined Ellmann & Ellmann P.C. where she focused on family law and estate planning cases. She joined Polidori, Franklin & Monahan, L.L.C. as an associate attorney in April 2011 where she focuses on domestic relations cases including dissolution of marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities and post decree issues. Andrea also serves as a program and grant reviewer for the National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Association.

She received her law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 1999 and her Master of Arts in International Relations and Public Policy in 2001. Andrea also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of New Mexico.
